Nadeem
Wali Mohammad’s singing career started by participating
in Sohail Rana's children’s musical program "Kalyon
Ki Mala" back in the late 1970's.
Music runs in his family. He is the son of famous Ghazal Legend
- Habib Wali Mohammad. He received all his classical
training from his father Habib Wali Mohammad.
“Classical training is extremely necessary if you
want to sing any type of music, says Nadeem.” . “Classical
is the ABC’s of any music one wants to learn.”
He was always interested in light music but had to get the classical
training in order to get the basics right.
While attending school in Karachi, he sang at various concerts
with his father in various musical evenings in Pakistan as well
as USA, Canada, Kuwait, Saudi Arabia and India.
In 1986, he traveled to the USA for higher studies and graduated
with a Bachelor's Degree from California State University in Communications
- Emphasis Public Relations. “In my family, education was
always given the first priority, says Nadeem.” Therefore,
I had a direction in mind and I went for it.” He is expected
to visit Pakistan in December 2006 to promote his first album
and perform in concerts in Karachi and Lahore. |
